Club membership offers a number of benefits. The main benefit is use of the flying site maintained by the club dues and insured by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). All club members must also be an AMA member. Click the link on the left to visit the AMA website. The club also publishes a newsletter called "The Tale Spinner." The newsletter has reports of the club meetings, and on the activities of the club. Only members have access to the Newsletters that are available on the site.
The club has training for new fliers. You can learn to fly with your own plane or by renting a plane from one of the instructors if you don't have a plane. Flying lessons are free for club members with their own planes.
There are three types of club membership. Regular members pay dues of $100.00 a year and are full voting members of the club. Spouses and children (under 19) of regular members can join the club for an additional $15.00 for the family. Family members that fly must also be AMA members. Junior members (under 19) may join the club for $25.00. After July 1st all dues are half price. New members except Juniors, must pay a $25.00 initiation fee.
